Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend was a blast. We unfortunaltely had made plans with friends to go to the cabin for the weekend and had to miss my nephew Alex's baptism. Sorry Alex, we are so happy with your decision to get baptised. I can't believe you are eight already.

So, Friday we headed out. The Mead's, McKnight's and Young's joined us for an exciting and relaxing weekend. We ate well and played hard. The boys ended up sleeping in a tent, and the first night it poured on them. Saturday we got up and after breakfast we headed out to the pond for a bit of fishing. We had 22 people trying to share 5 poles. We did not catch much, but I think the kids had fun.

The guys put the railing on the tree house, and then some of them went off to play ultimate freesbie for 9 hours (Ha, Ha). Jacob stepped on a nail, to add to the excitment. Joe was kind enough to watch the kids so we girls could get out on the quad's and hit some trails. We had a blast, I wish we could have got more of that in.

We got a hike in on Sunday afternoon. The kid had fun searching the meadow for the remains of a cow. They all wanted to take the bones home, the parents did not.

We caught a picture of the crew before the Youngs had to leave. We playes some games and enjoyed the great weather. Monday was a bit of atv's and some clean up. Thanks to all for the great weekend.
